Every single person, at every step of the way, who was involved in separating this child from her family, putting this child into detention, and keeping her there, is complicit in her death. They helped murder a child, and should be held accountable for their actions.

Are people really pinging their Serverless functions every 5 minutes to avoid cold starts? I thought scaling to zero and only paying for what you use was the main selling point.

The Presidential Records Act makes clear that White House records, including Brett Kavanaugh's, belong to the American people. Now, the National Archives is refusing to provide those records to Democrats so we can vet his nomination. This has NEVER happened.

🚨NEW POLL🚨 For the the first time in 40 years, a Democrat is within single digits of defeating the Hunter Dynasty! Even more exciting: the race is STATISTICALLY TIED when voters learn about both candidates. Help us spread the word! This is the power of grassroots organizing.

We all know that "the wall" is a symbolic political dog whistle for your voters and in practice, a huge waste of taxpayer money with very little logic or intelligent reasoning behind it. It is a useless farce.

I guess you forgot what you said... “A shutdown falls on the President’s lack of leadership. He can’t even control his party and get people together in a room. A shutdown means the President is weak” -Donald Trump 2013

But if investing back in the company can help keep US companies competitive in an international marketplace, and provide security or future opportunities, then long term this is good for workers and for America in general.

Anyone who thinks a company is going to splurge more on salaries or bonuses is smoking something funny. And if a company has a happy workforce and no trouble finding workers, why should they?

One of the most painful parts of being an engineering foundering is working on business development tasks. Hopefully someday Staysail will be big enough for me to hire someone better at it than I am...

Every time I have to edit a file on a system where "vi" is not "vi", but rather "vim", it makes me want to scream. vim's differences are most definitely *not* improvements.

I'm reminded of engineering ethos, which can apply to Trump voters. Admit you made a mistake, and commit to fixing it. Trump voters can do so starting with their votes in the midterms.

If you deplore Trump and you can vote, then you *MUST* vote to turn over as many GOP seats in congress as possible. As long as the GOP congress backs him, Trump is untouchable and we can just watch our country go down the toilet.

If so many people are fleeing gang violence from Central America (El Salvador, Honduras, etc.) maybe its time we stepped up and lent a hand (welcome or not) to fix those problems in our own backyard.

If Satoshi Nakamoto was from 2038 and traveled back in time with a scheme to slow AI research and avert the singularity by creating a counter-market for GPUs, that would explain a lot.

Trump is not nearly smart enough to be a double agent. He is however plenty egocentric to be a very useful idiot.

A male US officer falsely told a 10-year-old she could see her mother for an hour at 6:00p. The child was held in a windowless, constantly lit facility where she couldn’t determine the time of day. When she asked the officer for the time, he said he wasn’t permitted to tell her.
