@gdri Me and MrNorbert1994 just discovered that StarTropics uses Birthday's sound engine; specifically the version used in Juvei Quest, Kaijuu Monogatari, and To The Earth.

Hitoshi Akashi told me he didn't know the relationship between the Top Rider team and Sonata in detail, but the game was developed at a different location. He also commented on Michiya Hirasawa. I should really post that.

Ah okay. I think I asked him a while back who T. Mikumo was, but he couldn't remember. Norbert thinks it's Toru Hayashi, but I think Mikumo is a real surname.
