Looking through California business records, Atlus founder/president Naoya Harano was a director at Asuka Technologies, which might explain why they were publishing Atlus's games in the US before Atlus Software, Inc. was started.

In PlayStation anthology they did an interview with Hideyuki Yokoyama it made it seem like he was the founder of Atlus, unless Harano was one of the other founders?
