Looking through California business records, Atlus founder/president Naoya Harano was a director at Asuka Technologies, which might explain why they were publishing Atlus's games in the US before Atlus Software, Inc. was started.

I was just looking up some of the different states tonight, coincidentally! Florida and Massachusetts both have good ones. Illinois annoying does not and the SoS office blew me off some years ago.

A good one, as it only does corporations that are still in active business. So any attempts to look up the old Chicago coin-op companies yield nill.
