dude I was literally just looking at this ya gotta wonder why Sega hired the Sensi team to make a sequel to their WCS that resembles neither WSC nor Sensi, I almost wonder if it was meant to be a Tecmo game or something

right, but despite the art and perspective change it still feels very much like Sensi so I'm not quite sure why they bothered

According to an interview apparently some of the guys at Sensi were quite friendly with some folks at Sega, so it may have come from that. It was also mentioned that, since it was developed in a short timeframe, using the Sensi code as a base saved a lot of time.
