      Romstar was originally SNK's first American subsidiary, SNK Electronics Corporation.

      Sort of? I still haven’t been able to figure it out and I talked to someone who was there. They were a kit company that worked with several different companies who had investments in them.

      It was incorporated as SNK Electronics Corporation on September 14, 1982. It was renamed Romstar on June 10, 1985.
