This week I moved a bunch of enterprise code (WPF and Winforms) to .NET Core 3.1 as a test. Early feedback from my testers is that some operations are noticeably faster. All the libraries were built to target .NET Framework, but the main menu app is Core and it just works.

Here's a useful tip if you're migrating Winforms apps to .NET Core 3.1: once you've used try-convert to migrate to the new csproj format, you can keep both targets in there and switch between them. You'll still want to work with the forms designer with net472 as the target.pic.twitter.com/Od4DdOciOM

Each time after you change between 472 to netcoreapp3.1 you'll want to Clean and Rebuild the project. I also found it worked better to switch to Segoe UI from whatever ancient font as I was using before when fonts looked funky when run as a Core app.
