So the first claim, that she told people not to take medicine, is not supported here. She plainly says, “Does that mean it is a mistake to take medicine? Absolutely not.”

The second claim, that she said sick people caused their sickness with negative thinking, well, that is a lot stickier.

Hi everyone, I see you noticed my month-old thread. A few things: These excerpts aren't "taken out of context." They are whole pages from a chapter on health in a book mostly about relationships.

The parts not included in this thread don't say "Please disregard the parts where I said 'sickness is an illusion'" so the context is accurate.

To the people saying, "Yes, she says take your medicine, but she also says it's the belief in them that makes them work and not the actual medicine." -- yes, I should have been clearer about that.

And to the people saying, "Science shows positive thinking improves health outcomes," that is also correct! However, that is *not the same* as saying sickness is a "psychic scream" or an "illusion that doesn't actually exist."

I am also aware -- as a person in recovery and mother to a stillborn child -- that medicine can't fix everything!! So I don't need to be told this, thank you!
