Last night, the Israeli army killed 9 Palestinians in an attack on Jenin. Israeli forces have now killed at least 27 Palestinians already this year. All eyes on Palestine.

I remember my father for the ideals that he held, and I know that if he were here today, he would be proud of our progress, but deeply disappointed by some of our failures. That is why we must continue to fight for peace, justice, and equity. Happy birthday, dad.

It’s just funny that as the quality of everything from airlines to infrastructure to food safety and availability to healthcare continues to precipitously erode around us millions of people blame socialism, an economic system that we do not live under

May Martin Luther King’s memory be for a blessing, and fuel us towards a radically just world.
Quote Tweet
Today, let us remember Martin Luther King as he was: A Black radical anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, revolutionary Christian internationalist who was deemed an enemy of the State and assassinated for his radical work. Just about everything else is a lie.

Missouri Republicans passed new rules: 1. Women lawmakers are banned from showing their bare arms. 2. Women lawmakers are required to cover their dress with a “second layer”. The road to the Handmaid’s Tale world is lined with people telling us to stop overreacting.

Caught in action: standing in solidarity with Palestinian citizens of Israel (^someone change the caption) waving the Palestinian flag at the protest in Tel-Aviv.

I managed to convince my Russian emigre friends to join me at the protest in Tel-Aviv—recognizing both truths that they deserve shelter as Russian Jewish refugees, and that Israel/Palestine must be free for Palestinians and Jews alike ❤️

Israel: where you can’t legally wave a Palestinian flag, but where you can legally demolish and displace an entire Palestinian village. The “only democracy in the Middle East” or an Apartheid state? 🍉

People: “How’s Haiti doing? What’s the situation there?” Me: “Besides the instability, the kidnappings and the worsening economic situation, there’s always this 👇🏽 »

As of today, Haiti does not have a single elected official. The 3 branches of power are dysfunctional. The International community (BINUH and The Core Group) is the main decision-maker. We are perhaps further away from democracy than we were in the early 90s.
