Really cool talk today from about RNA localization in germ and founder granules. Definitely worth checking out their new publication in !

For undergrads and people who advise them: it’s ok to strike a balance between demanding and less demanding courses. But don’t choose a course or a major bc you can get an A. Life is full of surprises - take a chance on something new. Challenge brings fulfillment. Time to learn!

The Gavis lab is looking for a motivated post doc to work on RNA granules and germline development. It’s RNA biology and developmental biology all in one.

Agree. Our Dept changed our seminar times to accommodate those (mostly women) who had to leave mid-seminar to pick up little ones.

    5. For most of us a long career in science doesn't mean being more successful than the avg. It means showing consistency & endurance. The career moments I am most proud of are the times, when after a massive failure I showed up & picked up the pipette or the laptop & tried again.

Maybe someone already suggested this, but this tweet made me think that every scientific meeting/conference over the next year should organize an Eaton 5K. I don’t run myself, but I’d walk it at . What say you ?
