Mildly frustrated that 9 months of fixes and new content and all that happened was that the review score on steam dropped a bit.
I don't doubt that you could always make more by selling on Steam, I'm just interested in experimenting :)

Just requires a lot of extra leg work on your part, since you'll have to reach a higher-than-usual percentage of players to make up for the majority which *exclusively* use Steam xD

I actually admire Steam's leadership, but I think they need more competitors. In any case, I'm at a stage where I am just doing it for fun rather than money, so I'd be content with any amount of sales.

Almost everyone trying to compete with them is using subscription services, which I guess is a good way for them to compete as businesses (and for consumers), but for indie devs is generally not a great deal :/

Those 'netflix for games' services forget that they need to have every single game and spend billions on producing original content themselves, like real netflix. People aren't going to subscribe to 5 different netflixes at the same time.
