    seems the term is tsundoku :) ht and i like the etymology – from wikipedia: "It combines elements of tsunde-oku (積んでおく, to pile things up ready for later and leave) and dokusho (読書, reading books)."

    what's the word for really wanting to buy a book but once you have it letting it lay there decoratively on your shelf for years (looking at you my beautiful, beautiful cooking books)

    note: I am still somewhat bullish on "the Bay Area" but my guess is it'll likely morph to Bay Area circa mid-1990s where SF wasn't the epicenter...

    almost every work mtg I have, has at least one person that has moved somewhere to be closer to family / get more space/ get cheaper rent lots of things up in the air but the exodus from the city of San Francisco is palpable

    discovered today a realm of twitter where math teachers teach their kids at a level I hadn't contemplated before... (talk math w/ your kids) probably true for every craft - kids of artists w/ art; kid of cooks, cooking, etc. there's a cool school to be made from this
