Which they most likely are not. Or they might be processing only visual stimulus but surely not only angles. The neural network cannot know beforehand what kind of information is in the input so it has to run multiple tests on it; is it moving, is there color, angles, shapes...

When you see the same thing twice neural network has already made adaptations in handling that data. Of course it is different result!
