ORMish is a wonderful way to describe modest layers of code that abstract your database for your controllers but don’t go the Full Django.

Spent the day cleaning up our AWS SSO config (no more assume role after SSO!) and writing docs on the ORMish thing we use.
Pretty bloody good day, really.

Nothing screams "open and honest deliberation" like releasing a preprepared list of initiatives you were going to do anyway an hour before the Summit actually finishes and claiming these were all achieved there.

At the human level, we must emphasise the #robodebt amounts don't speak to the suffering. Those who had the least had nothing to garnishee, lived with the week to week payment plan.

From Monday, #Robodebt victims will get a payment for the interest they would have got on the money they were made to illegally repay. Half will receive between $50 & $300. A tiny portion will be very small - under the terms of the class action court order all have to be notified

The thing is that if you’re in government you actually can relitigate it. That’s sort of the point. The only excuse not to do so would be if you think it’s a good idea, so the conclusion must be that Labor thinks tax cuts for the rich is a good idea.

PM Anthony Albanese at #npc, asked about the controversial stage 3 tax cuts: “we made a decision that we would stand by that legislation rather than re-litigate it… We inherited it. And I said that we haven't changed our position”
