So the problem with the term is that, in emphasizing what the dudes didn't choose, it ignores the agency of those not volunteering intimacy.

I wish I could find the tweetstorm I saw yesterday where a reporter who watches the Incel movement points out that the misogyny in there is not just rampant, but deliberate and conscious.

These men feel not only entitled to women, but they reject women who show any interest in them, and openly acknowledge that they understand themselves to be so loathsome than any woman who shows kindness to them must be stupid / evil / desperate / unworthy of male attention.
