Is
@DeanPreston such a bad candidate that he can't run on his merits? His supporters have to blame a death in@MattHaneySF's district on Dean's opponent? Conspiracy shit like this is how the#POA got@chesaboudin elected. So keep it up if you support Vallie I guess?1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -

The real question is why wasn't this person offered shelter, instead of being left out in the cold at night? Why haven't
@DeanPreston and@MattHaneySF forced the City to deliver on rooms? Why are the only folks in D6 who got shelter in the Tenderloin? Do the rest not matter?4 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

I authored legislation to require everyone to be brought inside hotels. I've wrote legislation to require it, held hearings, resos etc. I'm pushing everyday to get them to bring people inside from SOMA, & many have been. I can't perform executive branch responsibilities directly

Once again, only the executive branch has the power to implement these laws. (Some of) the Supervisors have been doing everything in their power.
@DeanPreston even went so far as to buy hotel rooms on his dime when the mayor refused to follow the law.2 replies 0 retweets 10 likes -

in fact, its hard to pass laws and even harder to get intransigent politicians to implement them when dipshit concern trolls complain to the legislators rather than the people who are doing the obstructing.

Some of us hold our electeds accountable. I take direct action when I can, and I hold my reps accountable when they can do things I can't. If fighting on multiple fronts for basic services makes me a "concern troll" then so be it. Conservatives have called me much worse.

If you're not concerned about people forced onto the street and forgotten (MSC South residents simply moved onto the sidewalk, not into better conditions), then you're sociopathic. I'm not willing to accept "we've done all we can, it's out of our hands" as an answer.
