Show me a game that claims several modes of play, and I’ll show you a game that sucks.
The only one I added voluntarily was a solo mode, because that way I could playtest whenever I needed.

I fundamentally design games around the notion of player interaction. Solo doesn't work for anything I've made. I think Solo mode, where appropriate, is the most natural extension of a game.

I get that! In my case the games were a bit more like puzzles. I miss making more interactive games.
