we house-ruled it a little to make it more to our taste - I think it's silly fun.
Would be interesting to know the house-rules, as we could get past five rounds, never mind forty.
Well we had extra humans and took out the dumb escape pod cards. Usually ends around 20-25 rounds for us.
we had 3 humans v 2 aliens on game 6 and it still seemed to favour the aliens. We never got near escape pods.
I think with optimal play you can bluff 2 possible paths. If 2 aliens work together they can easily kill a human.
My experience (with the demo pnp) is quite different. 30% of the games ended in successful escapes.
same in mine. Are you letting humans use equipment?
If we're ever near each other and have time, I'd love to replay it with you. https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1739887/5-players-way-too-easy-aliens …
could well be an issue with player count. I think the minimum I've done is 6 players.
same here, played with 6
Given that 3 humans v 2 aliens (a last-ditch house rule) still didn't work for us, I'm not hopeful.
But sure, if you bring the game to UKGE, I'd try to help organise a game. :-)
