One of my favorite parts of growing up is finally having access to all the games I used to read about in magazines and catalogs.pic.twitter.com/naoIePGyWb

Next up, Metroid 2: Return of Samus. Ambitious, desolate, thoughtful and, in parts, obtuse. It pushed the series forward. Makes you feel like you're lost in an alien planet and I did, embarrassingly often. I even started drawing a map and quickly ran out of space on the sheet.pic.twitter.com/Ihm6T9td2p
The 3DS remake is fun but the tone felt off. Many of the changes they made were to make you feel like a badass. I think they missed the point. At its core this is a game where you're sent to a planet to eradicate a whole species. The original game does not celebrate this.

Today's find is "Wendy: Every Witch Way", an excellent platformer with a twist: you can change the orientation of gravity for both you, the enemies and the scenery. Cool puzzles, beautiful animation and can be played in one sitting. If you also love VVVVVV, check it out.pic.twitter.com/dB5Vv4EnVr
Currently playing Mole Mania, and what a surprise! It's an evolution of Sokoban where each level has two layers: surface and underground. To beat them you'll have to use both. Great puzzles, lovely presentation and music. I wish more people knew about this.pic.twitter.com/G6ujBKdn8H
