Warhammer Diskwars. Did all I wanted out of a miniature game but without the miniatures so it was cheaper, sturdier and easier to transport. A very influential reviewer misinterpreted the rules, played it incorrectly and gave it a bad review. Online, it died instantly.pic.twitter.com/HHQfaJ4C4i

This kind of thing is far too common. :( BTW, I have this game and both expansions - one day, we should play it!

That would be fun! I eventually sold mine because I couldn't get others to play. This is the only example I can recall of a rules mistake by a reviewer nuking a game out of existence.

I had sold mine too, for the same reason. And then early last year I saw someone selling the whole collection for about 20e, IIRC.
