I think it is! I'm probably not the best person to be answering because I'm a game designer so naturally I'd be biased towards gameplay.

I think it's natural to be "biased" towards gameplay in games just like it's natural to be biased towards food with good taste!

Me too but there's plenty of cases where people buy games just because they're pretty, have minis or have a theme/IP they like, without plans of ever playing it. If the game is good, that's a bonus.

We say the same thing in Spain and it's very appropiate. Often we like the idea of a game more than its reality. Learned that the hard way when collecting video games.

Very true! To be honest, that's one of my motivations to make games. I still want to play the game I was expecting, and sometimes the only way is to make it myself.
