Yeah! Deck... destruction? I love how it encourages a neat little changing machine, and how that means every turn has a new tactical choice

Which reminds me, there's a Japanese game from last year that does deconstruction, and it sounds great. This publisher has a history of being localised into, so I'm hopeful we'll see an English version. There's one review on BGG and it's glowinghttps://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2568625/geminoa-and-deckthinning-meta-deckbuilding …

That sounds really good, I hope it gets translated. There are so many cool fascinating games coming out of Japan. I'd love to be able to try them all!

If you can get a PDF of a rulebook, using machine translation can do a decent job of helping understand the rules. But once you get into unique cards with text, then it becomes untenable for me.

I can imagine! I think my issue is a bit deeper since it's not easy to learn about Japanese games since a lot of the coverage also seems to be in Japanese, which I don't speak.

You know I'll pass on anything cool I come across! I have a bunch of Japanese games we can try out at some stage. Some standard, some cool, lots unplayed and untried
