Once in a while I feel like playing a new deckbuilding game, look at what's available and immediately get put off by the box size and cost. Agent Decker was my reaction to this.

I've not played it, but I believe Shards of Infinity is a small box deckbuilder. I'm curious about Abandon All Artichokes, though I understand that's deck de-construction.
-
Oh, right! I've only played the Shards app and almost forgot there was a physical version. It feels like an iteration of Star Realms with some clever twists like paying to use cards from the market right away and being able to "level up" to use better tiers of actions.

Star Realms Frontiers is great, especially because it includes solo and coop challenges in a very small box
-
I'm not a big fan of core Star Realms but I'm curious about those extra modes and that one looks like a great value!

We love Paperback. Bonus points for having a small box that holds sleeved cards.
-
I had forgot about that one! I don't tend to play word games because I often play with people with other native languages but that's a good suggestion!

compact, gotta be star realms. Valley of the Kings did not sit well with me at all. Flip City a miss as well. Im wondering what other deck builders there are that are tiny.
-
I think Valley of the Kings has some really clever twists on the formula, but since you have to take out crucial pieces of your engine it can feel a bit different. Flip City has a cool concept but the reviews weren't very positive.

@CopperFrogGames and@GrndGmrsGld is a compact and really fun deck "de-builder", where you use various tools to carve away and thin your deck.https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/254532/chiseled … -
Wow, didn't know about this one at all. Thanks!
