By condescending I mean, I've uninstalled games before the tutorial was over. In one case, it was over 7 hours and it wasn't done. In another, it was still stopping to teach me things 20+ hours in. I do like it when the game has a place where I can look things up as I need.

That's why I didn't like BOTW. To me the very core of Zelda is the feeling of progression. In their quest to make an open world they gave you all the toys in the starting plateau and all progress in terms of gear/abilities became marginal at best. Not much to look forward to.
