An hour since we stopped playing #TheCrew and my brain is still processing all the subtleties that game involves. Objectively similar to Hanabi, but so much... smoother? More transparent re: when you do well vs mess up? Actually teaches you vs "here's how to score". #boardgames

BoardgameArena is very good too, it takes care of the rules for you and you can even play asynchronously if you want. :)

I tried BA, and... I mean, it might be convenient for some of the math heavy/high admin games, but I found the oddly scripted behaviour more confusing than helpful? Playing games I know inside out becomes annoying if I need to figure out the "right" way to play cards etc.

Ah, that's funny. I struggle a lot with TTS, cause it does TOO MUCH and each game has its own weird scripting logic. Tabletopia is -at least for now- the most like a real table for me? Take any card, place anything anywhere, rotate how you want, take actions out of turn,...

I think that's the thing. I've been playing mostly with people who are new to boardgames and a system that doesn't let them make mistakes is key. But I really should give those other platforms a chance because that's the only realistic way I'll get to playtest soon.
