I find it interesting to think about a game concept that takes the premise of #Pokémon (you battle, collect and evolve different monsters) and combines it with a way less linear gameplay and world. What systems would need to change to keep it fun?
It would also allow you to avoid competing directly with Pokémon, so win/win!

For sure! I’d love to explore some non-combat approaches to leveling and evolving monsters. Maybe some can’t even level by fighting, but by other means. Interested in what this could be.

@DareLooks I’ll play some#Undertale for reference. My favorite part of all of this is that I’m going back to a lot of classic games to learn more about their UI and design. By recommendation of@SlimeKingGames I ordered a new screen for my GBA and will mod it soon
