It's still not too far! I imagine Douro gets mispronounced as "Dooru" because the sounds for O and U don't match in English. It sounds closer to "dough-ru".

I think I've only heard them pronounced correctly once or twice. Games should always come with pronunciation guides.

I'd love that. I always brace for impact when a Portuguese word shows up in a video review. Vinhos, Coimbra, Arraial, Masmorra. I don't think I've heard anyone get it right.

Since it's CMON I assume it's originally PT-BR but it's not too far off. It's just our word for "dungeon".

Interestingly enough, it's part of the Portuguese/Spanish overlap, so it's also the Spanish word for dungeon. Was surprised to see it here at first ^^

Yeah, it felt so natural that I hadn't thought of looking where the designers were from ^^ It was more like 'oh, they called it masmorra, cool' and didn't register as anything else ^^ My relative historical closeness to PT-BR made me say 'arraiau', though! :O

That's accurate for PT-BR, yes! :)
