He is the king of being reductive and punching down. It just makes me so cranky that for so many people he is the face of the hobby. It's just so very not welcoming in any way.

The recurring "joke" about not bothering to pronounce names right really gets to me. It's very american-centric.

Yeah we Americans are pretty bad about that — especially white people. I've always liked WEM's dedication to dignifying people with faithful pronunciation, though.

It wouldn't bug me so much if it was a surprise but the review clearly took time to prepare. They knew they were going to pronounce it and didn't even try to get it right.
