In the mood to play a coop deckbuilder where you are building something together with the other player(s) but can't think of one. Are there any?

So first thing that came to mind was RuneAge, an older
@Psycorey FFG design, that has both full co-op and comp co-op. The theme is *mostly* warring factions, but there's economy too, IIRC... Also there's Renegade (@rickyroyalbod), about controlling a network...so not
per se?1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

But yeah, there's not been a lot of true co-op deck building games—seems like an area that might be untapped? The trick is deck builders need some sense of rising action, which is usually direct conflict, or a race. Not sure what true co-op theme would work...maybe citybuilding?

It's a game I wanted to get, but disappeared from my stores before I got to it. I'll look into it! I agree that the games need a sense of pace and purpose, but I'm very tired of murder being the solution for everything.

Totally agree! I would love love love for some more conceptual diversity to show up as theme in games...but we are humans at the end of the day, driven predominantly by Eros and Thanatos. Perhaps games need more Eros (in the psych sense)?

Yes, that's it! Both analog and digital.
