Here’s my “aha” moment for today: Most RPGs are made up of two major elements - 1) a world to play in and 2) mechanisms to resolve uncertainty. Characters and their stats/abilities are the link between those two elements.

Realized that when I read the rulebook for primetime adventures. The players define the setting, character and tone so all that's left is how to solve conflicts.
