The idea of taking my love of 0451 games & translating it into cardboard is both overwhelming & enticing... It’s one of those things that would require a team & that I hope exists in the world at some point though I am not at all confident that I am part of creating it...

How those types of games make you feel when you play them and trying to recreate that feeling in a board game could be a good starting point? Trying to do a copy of a existing game always seems to lead to disappointment. You'll never be able to please all of its fans :-) /2

That was my approach when making Agent Decker (based on stealth games) and Superhot (based on the videogame). Simulating the whole world would be a pain for the player to manage so I zoomed in. What does the player feel? What choices can they make? How can I include those?

I do feel that you are correct in that many systems need to be abstracted away to make just the tracking aspects possible, though an app assist could potentially fit better... This is the noodling that makes me wonder if this is just a game that requires a whole team.

@wisegoldfish has been working on an analog version of a game like Hitman with a digital component!
