Understandable. Flesh and Blood is getting a lot of buzz lately and is an excellent design IMO. It also supports multiplayer. Might be what you are looking for.
I did like the LCG model, it was a lot consumer-friendly but eventually also becomes daunting to catch up on.

True, competitive LCG's did at some point arguably become more expensive than many CCG's since there isn't really a singles market. I think the LCG has found its home in the co-op LCG's and I suspect this will be where it thrives but we'll see. It's certainly consumer friendly.

I disagree, unless you're talking about starter decks or playing at a completely casual level. The cost of a full set of an LCG vs CCGs is drastically different.
