Looking for a traditional roguelike (turn based, procedurally generated map, permadeath) for the Switch, checked out 100+ suggestions, only 2 matched. I now understand why some people are very fussy about the term.

If you are willing to go to PC then look at Caves of Qud. Really one of the best traditional roguelikes; takes things to surprising places and extremes

It looks great! At the moment I am looking for something portable which I can play while hanging out with Sara so the desktop is out of the picture but I'll eventually try some more on PC. These games have so much potential!

*traditional* does skew a bit more to a full keyboard imo. but yeah broadly into all roguelikes it's such a rich well-delved space for game lovers :D

You're right, which explains why the control schemes for mobile and tablets usually have such clunky control schemes. I'm appreciating the ones that put some thought to the controls and interface.pic.twitter.com/lH4uxfzTr5
