A question for those who regularly playtest other designer's boardgames (even if you haven't done so for a while): When playing as just a playtester, how often do you write down notes?
It's not something I do often but I've printed and tested a couple games during lockdown and took notes as I played to make sure I wouldn't forget - and in some cases give proper context.

I don't know how common it is, but it felt like it could lead to the most useful feedback and the designers seemed to appreciate it.

Of course this was in a case where the designer couldn't be present due to lockdown, etc. If I was playtesting something in person I would just mention it to them.
