Gained some play testing insight today. If I ask "did you understand the rules?" someone will think I'm asking if they understand the reason the rule exists. What I mean is "could you execute the rules as written?"... Working on best phrasing but getting closer.

i normally like that tactic but i had a string of people providing feedback without actually playing the game. Not understanding certain rules because they hadnt seen how they affect gameplay. I now preface with please read rules full & play 1 game before giving feedback.

ive also learned to add a new line: "play as written" to encourage people to not dismiss rules they dont understand the implication of yet.
