First playtest! I had to change a few things to add variability and allow for multiple paths. The core system works but the actions and economy need another pass. Took exactly one hour, which felt too long.pic.twitter.com/PBsV3SzQcq

This is great. I've already had a few questions which resulted in clarifications on the rulebook. It might not sound like it but writing rulebooks is the hardest part of the process.
Just added a gameplay example to the rules to make them extra clear.pic.twitter.com/ZHYUbl3OBC
The first remote playtest for Cortiça went great. Miguel made some moves I hadn't seen yet (and to be honest didn't know if they would break it) but the game handled it well!pic.twitter.com/tk1bNaDLty
While looking for a camera for the pitch video I found these cork wallets. One might show up!pic.twitter.com/UpuE1rBgup
Here is my pitch video for Cortiça!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNhyPz1L6bc&feature=youtu.be …
I don't have fancy audio/video equipment but I hope it's clear enough. Every time I try to make something like this my respect for board game media creators increases.
Decided to try the automated captions and uh they might need some help.pic.twitter.com/2AB3xlTirU
Fixed the subtitles. Surprisingly easy and relaxing.
Making some small visual tweaks for clarity. Crosses on resource cards are now frames to make the setup quicker (give the blue cards to the blue player, etc), removed the grey bar from the action titles and added a simple card back. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/10AO3ccZN7PnP-84goN8j3g7jJ8FjWIeS?usp=sharing …pic.twitter.com/UCg2NJwMWL
Importing the cards to Tabletop Simulator was surprisingly easy! Who would have thought?pic.twitter.com/7ZPLAsNO3u
Cortiça is now on Tabletop Simulator! It's my first module so it doesn't have fancy automation but the cards, rulebook and snap points are there: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2169521735 …pic.twitter.com/rYlAijdfLo
Cortiça now has a BGG page: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/314735/cortica …pic.twitter.com/EunPPqjmOC
Had a great remote test with @rolainiciativa yesterday and he made an intruguing suggestion. Just tried it twice and it improved the game so it's staying in!
Thank you!
Last change before the submission.
Now the action cards now have the same action on their backs: "Get 1 oak tree". This smooths out rounds where the players weren't able to progress and since it's always the first one in the line it lets players create combos but makes that worker go in last place.pic.twitter.com/s6CU5KZgej
Also made a small change to setup that reduces the footprint and of course clarified the rules, updated the files and the TTS module.
No matter the result, already I got what I wanted out of this. Reminded myself I can make board games on my own, took on two hard challenges (2P only game with an extremely restricted briefing) and I have one new game I can distribute for free. :)
Set up a page for Cortiça where you can see it in action and download the print-ready files. https://gr9yfox.itch.io/cortica pic.twitter.com/EvjRv25vph
Cortiça made it to the 10 finalists (out of 150+!) to the @buttonshy 18 card worker placement challenge!
Congratulations to the (other) finalists and the winner!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1_DcPp6lzE …
Due to publisher interest, I've picked up Cortiça back up and have been making some changes. All I can say for now is that the game is even better!
