I mean, depends how long ago and who the fulfilment company was. If it was supplied by them, I think it's reasonable. Why do you disagree? Hope you're well.
Because it doesn't reflect how good/bad the game is.
I mean it's a fair point. But I think so is mine. Guess we're both not gonna move on this one :)
From a designer's point of view, sites like this are the only way to know if I did a good job and it's very frustrating to see the general score go down because of things you had no control of. They had two years to contact the publisher.
I hear that, and that helps me understand the situation a bit more. Nonetheless, I can understand it as a recourse. Depends how widespread the failure to deliver was. Isolated cases, sure, but if many haven't received I can see tanking the reivews as a legit strategy.
I guess, I agree it's not the best place, but I'm hard pressed to think of a simple better one. Not everyone wants to have to hassle publishers.
Fortunately I don't think it was a common thing, probably just someone who missed the e-mail/step where they had to use the pledge manager (which to be fair is Kickstarter's problem but that's another topic).
