Quarto. 2 player abstract. Pick a piece for your opponent to place, both trying to make patterns which match one of the seseveral characteristics of the pieces. Builds ln tic tac toe. Very light, nice production.pic.twitter.com/WRU1OYoGVB

I have it on my shelf, but the variance of the card draw puts me off for that type of game. I still find it strangely charming, but it will never rank among my favourites.

I agree, the card effects vary quite a bit and I don't understand why the orders are secret instead of something which the players are racing to achieve.
