What's the weirdest grid you've seen on a RnW game? I've been enjoying Cairo Corridor recently and it's been making me wonder if there's a useful application for pentagons or other weird grids of tessellation.

But hexes make for very nice movement. Squares have the benefit of simplicity. Hexes offer the most-natural-feeling (and understandable) movement. I am wondering if we could have pentagons/trapezoids/or weirder things not JUST as a gimmick, but using their unique advantages.

Absolutely, but at a certain point I think I would move towards point-to-point and defined areas like the board in Unmatched for the freedom.
