The latest BGG fan post about one of my games is 2,879 words long, including rules questions. I do appreciate the excitement, but this is taking away time I would rather spend on making new games.
To my board game design friends, how do you handle this? I know @eric_lang does not answer rules questions on BGG, for example.

I see it as an extension of customer service. I’ve found that it doesn’t take that much time, and has helped build goodwill with people who buy my games. For me it is a worthwhile investment.

I saw it the same way and it was quick when the game's ruleset was vivid in my mind. 4 years and after working on two spin-offs, I need to re-learn it every time.

The publisher involved?
-
Yes, in his case the publisher takes care of those. My game is self-published!
