I love the concept behind Keyforge, but the local scene is demotivating. No casual play, only tournaments. They've bought a ton of decks to find the best one, so they're unbeatable. There are formats to combat this, but they're not interested.

There seems to be a big range in terms of deck quality, which goes hand in hand with the ruthlessness that CCG players bring.

It still is very much worth playing, it's been teaching me a lot about design and balance, but the competitive circuit is pushing me away, like it always does.
