Damn, I got so into boardgames and Red Dead 2, I missed the past two days of meditations! Guess I'll never know what they were, or who made them.

My lovely sister noticed my... disdain re: giving money to the Rockstar bosses, so gifted a copy for Christmas (yay, giving them money in my stead

I borrowed a copy and it is impressive and anachronistic. Everything is so well made except for the gameplay and controls.

One tip that made it easier to ride around. Make a waypoint on the map, start driving on a road and activate the cinematic camera. Then you can put the controller down.

Except you get shot up by another gang or attached by wolves (or, in my case, both). I just kept drawing my gun on people I was talking to. Great reuse of buttons there.

Yes, and there are at least three different buttons to pick up different types of objects. Just...why?

I can *almost* see why picking up your hat is a different button from, say, your gun. But the context sensitive menu doesn't merge different items into one heap of options, so you still have to convince it to focus on the damn GUN on the ground, not the RAT CARCASS OH GOD WHY.
