1st movie - Aquaman is seriously pretty good. It is very modern "traditional super hero movie", it has the worst use of Toto's Africa (which I would be OK with never hearing again), and they can stop spinning the camera around - but altogether it's a fun popcorn kinda time.

Seriously, I hate Toto's Africa. Fuck that bullshit. Go listen to African music, it's incredibly rich and full of thousands of cultures & musical traditions and textures you'll hear nowhere else. Anyway, Aquaman is pretty good. Next: Mortal Engines!

Time for Mortal Engines. Curious about this movie because I genuinely have no idea about what to expect.

Mortal Engines is the prettiest, most imaginative, best-acted movie that made me feel not a single emotion at all that I've ever seen. The emotional bandwidth of this movie goes from "wow that's pretty" & "wow that's well-acted" to "wow that sounds great" & "wow that's cool".

I don't even know if I can recommend Mortal Engines unless you are OK just sitting through two-plus hours of beautiful cinematography of great actors doing cool stuff set to amazing sound and music for no reason and with no emotional resonance.

It's weird because literally every single aspect of the story has a ton of potential, the universe has a ton of potential, the characters have a ton of potential. I really want to know what happened in the production of Mortal Engines that this movie came out of it.

Bohemian Rhapsody hits all the right notes, and then some. What a lovely, sincere, well-shot, well-paced movie - and a worthy tribute to a band more than a person. And it is always cool to see another Rami, a Rami doing some cool shit.

Replying to @gamesbymanuel @tha_rami
Of all the Ramis I know (2), 100% of them are doing some cool shit.
