i would like to discuss the state of "copyright" and "related rights" in commissioned interactive installations for the creative media industry (pieces made to promote brands, tour conferences, mobile apps, small videogames, etc).
Been in the videogame industry for 8 years, first time I've heard of something like that.

yeah, usually studios just claim that those rights are transfered from the person to the studio itself with the contracts for the service. but technically speaking, and i'm not a lawyer, it's supposedly illegal to ignore them. more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Related_rights …
