This game has clear rules. I've been playing it online and its design is solid. Sure, some players will buy a lot expecting better decks, but each deck has a QR code you enter when participating in tournaments and you get a handicap if it has won too many times.
Maybe a bad example. I meant that GW thought they could choose who would buy and like their games (by saying that you're supposed to fix/change rules yourself and by that frustrate the hell out of tournament players).
I suppose the handicap thing is the piece of information I missed, but I'm not convinced it'll work. People want to win outside of tournaments as well. In other handicap systems, you still have to get the best equipment to be the champion.
Yes, I'm sure some players will take it too seriously but the chance I'll run into them is much smaller here and that immediately makes it more appealing to me and a lot of others who burned out on Magic.
