Stephen's Sausage Roll and Cave Story are excellent, I haven't played the others yet!

The Witness is probably the game that clicked the best for me in the last several years - imaginative puzzle design, fantastic in-game "working" tutorials, bags of character, a message that worked for me. Not for everyone, but if you liked SSR you'd probably like it.

Shardlight is a great example of the point-and-click-adventure scene of the 2010s, which is a genre I love, but I also included it for the worldbuilding and narrative, which are important things for me. The message is more or less in line with my thinking, but it's a bit vanilla.

Shoot the Bullet is probably the more interesting one in terms of design - it's a bullet-hell shmup in which you're not murdering things but taking up-close photographs of bullet patterns. It's not just a brutally hard game but a great twist on the standard shmup mechanics.

That sounds very intriguing! It's not my genre at all but I wonder if that twist can make it fun for me.
