    TIL the first ever episode of Dr Who in 1969 was directed by a British-Indian, Waris Hussein, who also had been a contemporary of Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi as well as later directing a young Gene Wilder. I found that interesting. Maybe you didn't but you've read it now.

    TIL about - a new UK initiative to rewild parts of England for biodiversity and to fight climate change - starting with people donating to rewild 3x3m squares at a time (which they can identify via the what3words system). Pretty interesting.

    OK it's not a car crash, eventually you can have some fun...but I'm still surprised, I was expecting years on (and after $1bn in gross revenue) that GTA Online would be a lot more slick than it is.

    GTA Online is a car crash. Getting through the login is a challenge. Then anything to do with Rockstar Social Club is a hot mess. Navigating Online is a hot mess. Finding your friends is a hot mess. Everything apart from playing singleplayer online seems to be a hot mess.

    I live with the shopping cart theory every day. If a law or accounting rule or business principle says do this, and you can see the reason for it, but not exactly how to do it and there's no obvious sanction (or hurtful sanction), do you do it? How? When? Why?
