"Died in the comission of a crime he was involved with" Seems like you know his dad never actually killed anyone. Should we throw his son in prison too? His wife? The man who sold the other perpetrators the guns? How far exactly does this "guilt by association" stretch?

Did his son also plan on driving a getaway car for a domestic terrorist group after robbing a brinks truck while murdering whoever got in their way? If so then yes.

The BLA that Gilbert was working with. I’m sure he must’ve thought the M16s were just props. That’s why it was second-degree. Might not been planned but that’s what resulted

Last time I checked the "murderer" is the person who shot the victim At least it is to anyone with common sense What about the person who sold them the gun knowing guns can be used to kill people? Guilt by asociation is bullshit People are responsible for their own actions

That’s a great idea! Let’s get rid of RICO charges too. Heads of the Gambino family never murdered or shook anyone down. Hire a hit man to kill your wife? All good you didn’t pull the trigger! He didn’t personally end anyone’s life, but he was in direct connection of ending them.

There are lesser charges like conspiracy to commit a crime, etc. And no sitting in a car to drive away after a robbery is not a "direct connection" to ending a life, and not at all analogous to hiring a hitman.

To drive armed men with assault rifles to steal $1.7 million (in 1981, people have killed for 1,000x less) from a brinks truck (also with armed men).. is not just “after a robbery”Context matters. It’s absolutely in direct connection, he was there. Helping commit the crime.

Replying to @galu822 @Schwangstar and
that would make sense....of he only drove them there...and/or didn't notice the guns. If he was really against all the murdering...why didn't he drive them directly to the police after the fact?

"Not being against a crime" is not committing the crime yourself.. If I saw someone do cocaine and I didn't "turn them in" should I be charged with posssession of cocaine?
