What was the first movie that absolutely scared the piss out of you (which is now laughable in retrospect)? Mine is Gremlins at a summer camp - got so upset when they started giving it water that I cried until the counselors called my parents to pick me up

Gremlins was one of the movies screened at my elementary school for the few students who showed up during a snowstorm. I'm not sure how old I was, but definitely not old enough. So, same, pretty much, though I think I held up until they started killing people.
