This deal says to me that Memphis does not in any way, shape, or form have interest in the 2020 free agency market.

It's a lot of money but A. JJ can still play B. the 2020 FA class is v bad C. Memphis is not much of a FA destination anyway D. they now have a bunch of mid-sized salaries (those two, Tyus, Anderson) they can package for something real E. Winslow makes a lot of sense for them

I wouldn’t count KD because he was gone, but I still think GS royally screwed up.

Damn, this is a HUGE bet on Wiggins being good. I just don’t believe that Wiggins will be good. That’s why I think this is a mistake. I could be really wrong and I’ll be curious to see if I am.

They dumped him. They straight up dumped Andre Drummond. They put Drummond out there like you did with your futon when you were moving out of your college apartment after graduation.

Got DLo, moved Wiggins, managed the cap, brought in upside guys, added picks, got value for Cov, added shooting to a 3-point volume team. PRe-tty good

Everyone still has weaknesses and all the top teams all have a shot at making a run. The Bucks are still the best team, the LA teams should still be West favorites, everyone’s still beatable and the competition is high. This is a good set up for the playoffs.

Drummond was a divisive player to fans, but I'll say this, from my end: He was always kind to me and the beat guys. Would chat with us about randomness and was likable. He never really got a fair chance with Pistons, as they never really had a great supporting cast around him.

I wonder if any of the same journalists praising Romney to the heavens right now realize that the way they smeared him in 2012 is partly what enabled the rise of Trump. A swath of the GOP watched a guy run, get smeared, and lose. And they concluded “punching back” was necessary.

617 vehicle thefts in so far in 2020. Up 70% so far this year. Robberies and burglaries are up double digits as well (35% and 18% respectively). Law enforcement warned this would happen. Why didn’t and listen?

Doug Jones is voting like he's got little chance of winning a full term in Alabama. Better play is to keep your friends in DC -- for an appointment in a future Dem administration, perhaps -- than to vote like a red-state Dem in hopes of another major upset back home.

Best part of these tributes to Romney — exemplar of virtue! paragon of decency! — is that they’re coming from the same people who SAVAGED him for an awkward turn of phrase that was meant to illustrate his commitment to hiring women for top-level positions. Heckuva job, everyone.

Alec Burks has created 7.9 points per game out of the pick and roll this season with one of the NBA's lowest turnover rates. Glenn Robinson has shot an eFG% of 66% in transition and 52% in both off screen and spot up situations.

I expect these all to be pater second round picks. Honestly don’t really mind this trade for either side. Philly will probably make an effort to keep GR3 and Burks past this season if at all affordable.

Damn it, Philly got a better bench and added a lot of shooting.
